Sampler – Culture Clash

by Mr X on 15 September 2008

I’ve just found out about this event, curated by David Littler. It sounds awesome and I’m down in London working that day, so my plan is to swing by and see what’s going on. If DMC come up with the goods in time, I shall go along packing some serious neon threads…
There’s an accompanying blog here, which explains how the project has developed. I particularly love the stitching consequences idea – each member of a group stitches on a piece for twenty minutes and then passes it to the next person. Brilliant idea and soem real spontaneous outcomes…

Dear Mr XStitch.

thanks for your encouraging comments about the Sampler-Culture clash event, and really hope you can make it along. Come and introduce yourself on the evening, it would be good to find out more about what you do. As i say i’ve no idea how it’s going to go – but it’s work in progress and it’s going to be fun.
Really like your blog by the way.
thanks david
