Becky Stern is a genius. I’m certain of it. From the minute you start wandering through her blog, you can tell she is a very inventive individual.
She is currently a Research Assistant at Arizona University, and an Associate Editor for Craft and Make magazines, which means she can justifiably spend her times creating amazing craft projects. Here are just a few of note:
I first noticed Becky’s work when she unveiled her electronic embroidery kit, combining stitchery with circuits to create illuminated pieces. I think this angler fish is a perfect example of what can be done. I’d love to get my hands on some of this kit!
She recently had some work done on her knee, but rather than leave it at that, she decided to do a series of embroideries of the MRI scans she had done!
Why have an ordinary sewing machine when you can have a Steampunk one?!
There’s so much more stuff you can look at on Becky’s site. You can tell she loves what she does, and her ideas are awesome! I think I’m jealous. But in a good way…

Well now I just feel ten kinds of inadequate. I’m glad to know that such a person exists but her craft output just shames mine.
she makes me feel bad about myself, too.
I went to her blog – she made a plushie femur. I mean, come ON! Too cool. I love her stuff.
i love anotomical embroidery of any kind, and that sewing machine rocks!
