Logan Mc Lain
is a textile artist from Ireland.
lmt13
He graduated in 2008 with an MA in Textile Design and has won several awards for his contemporary embroidery.
lmnotgay
His contributions to a 2008 exhibition entitled “Faith in Form” are fine examples of contemporary embroidery. The irreverence of his work highlights some of the idiosyncracies of mainstream religion.

It is clear from his work that Logan has a great deal to offer the genre. I love the use of negative space on some of his pieces.

You can find out more about him on his website. This might be the first you’ve heard of him, but I’m sure it won’t be the last!

Wow. Stunning imagery, and you’re right, it seems his work is just as much about negative space as it is about the actual images he creates. The first one is great.

His work is amazing, and I like the “Jesus Saves: terms and conditions apply” message in the third piece. The last piece looks likes a lot like Jim’s Babcia (free Polish lesson – Babcia = Grandmother) ^_^

He’s such a nice guy as well. Really talented and someone who I have a lot of admiration for.
