Beefranck’s Emporium – Totally Severe

Today’s subject is Totally Severe, aka Sarah, a graphic designer who was featured in Gallery Hanahou‘s Forget-Me-Not exhibition recently. She does beautiful embroideries on quirky subjects, an awesome combination.

The Price is Right has been a part of pop culture for as long as I can remember. I never thought I would see an embroidery of it, though. Drew Carey never looked so good.

There’s even more daytime TV goodness in this next piece – Rachel Ray AND Dr. Phil baking cookies. I love the look on Dr. Phil’s face, he looks positively smitten!

She titled this “Set Phasers on Stunning.” Indeed! :) The Next Generation crew looks absolutely fabulous!

Sarah doesn’t only focus on current pop culture icons. She based the following piece on a photograph taken in 1915:

Such gorgeous colors!

Not only is Sarah a wonder with a needle, she also designs her own fabric. This one is called Swanky, and I agree:

I know! It’s all so great! And the swanky fabric makes me want to learn how to sew. I want a pillow or a purse or SOMETHING made from that. :)
