by Beefranck on 29 March 2009

Welcome to Mr X Stitch! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Come on in, there's lots of inspiration stitching for you to enjoy!

pick-of-the-weekTime for another look at some of the great work featured in the Needlecraft section at Craftster. Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.

The pick this week was provided by Fair Rosamund – aka Roz. She is a newcomer to Craftster, and we here at MrXStitch are very pleased she started posting there. Her first post was this amazing portrait of her boyfriend, Tim.timIt’s obvious that a lot of time and thought was put into this portrait, not to mention incredible skill. Roz describes her method and the stitches she used in the original post. She also says she is working on a second portrait of Tim, this time with a beard. We can’t wait to see it! Keep posting, Roz!

How’d I miss this awesomeness on craftster? Am I imagining things or has the needlework section on craftster really taken off in the last month. Seems like there are several needle work projects in the new projects section on the homepage every time I look.

It’s because needlework is the new black.
We’re bringing sexy back, and embroidering it.

Thanks for the comments guys! I’m very excited to be Pick of the Week. I’ll get that new portrait with his beard (and chest hair!) up soon…
Thanks again,

Roz
