Exclusive Licensing Deal … NOT!

by Mr X on 1 April 2009

I am absolutely over the moon about this news!

For the past month or so I have been liaising with Mattel and can proudly reveal that I have been given exclusive rights to produce a new range of My Little Pony cross stitch patterns!
How awesome is that?
It means that the Mr X Stitch brand will reach a whole new generation of people, and will really make a big difference to how people view the world of cross stitch. I can’t wait!

You’ll see more of the patterns as they are developed, but here’s a sneak preview of My Little Pony pattern 001!mlp001

UPDATE:
Happy April Fool’s Day lovely people!
Alas, unless there is a massive paradigm shift in the way My Little Pony ends up, it’s quite unlikely that I’ll be working with them.
That said, you can see there’s change coming and Mari Kasurinen does some pretty awesome things…

Awww, I really do wish that today wasn’t April Fools day. Imagine all of the goth/punky cross stitch ponies that will never see the light of day. :(

Oh man, I wish… My Little Pony, Apocalypse ponies, punishment right for their sins… (Yes, I did gank that from Robot Chicken…)

I may have to make that anyway. :)

Speaking of fooling about, you seem like the kind of guy who’s tracking from where people come to your blog and maybe where they go from here. With that in mind, I’m going to make an effort to be creative in selecting which sites I visit before and after this one.

So I totally fell for it. I didn’t even realise it was April Fools Day until 8pm last night, so that’s my excuse. I WAS surprised that you’d be doing a my Little POny, but figured it was old enough now to be ironic!

even-star sad face. Great vistas of Pony stitching joy opened before me only to be dashed to shreds upon the vile and lumpy throw cushions of bitterness and disappointment.
