Cathiphop, it appears, can do no wrong. I’ve been a fan of hers for a long time and I’ve never seen her stitch anything that wasn’t superb. Her latest piece, Giraffe, is terrific.
Yes, it’s a giraffe, created for a friend of hers, but it’s also an understated explosion of colour and a sort of stitched jazz – vibrant, funky and cool as hell.
