Does everybody know what day it is today? May 4th! So, what is today’s Emporium about? Star Wars, of course. Get it? May the 4th be with you. Get it?
*crickets*
Hey, it’s not my fault! It was Mr. X’s idea.
Anyway, today I’m going to showcase some of my favorite Star Wars themed needlework. Let’s start with a couple of badasses, shall we?

This Boba Fett embroidery was stitched onto a hoodie by akachan on craftster. She also stitched Jaster’s Feather on one sleeve and the crest of the Mandalorian Mercs on the other. That’s some serious geek cred right there. See more of it in her original post.

This Darth Vader pillow was stitched by Giant Jeans Parlor, aka Anjali. She made it for her boyfriend, a huge Star Wars fan, when they had to be apart for a long period of time. You can read more about the creation of the pillow and its significance at her blog.
The next two pieces are actually a set of pillowcases depicting the good and the evil characters from the movies in an adorable fashion:

I absolutely adore the smirk on Han Solo’s face, and the stitching of Princess Leia’s hair is gorgeous!

The Storm Trooper in this one doesn’t seem very sure about how he feels about Jabba the Hut. You can see close-ups and more detailed pictures in the original post of these pillowcases by allyinthevalley on craftster here.
This cross stitch contains the words of the wise and wrinkled Yoda. It was stitched by the self-proclaimed nerdy stitcher Krupp, a favorite here at Mr X Stitch. You can see more Star Wars stitches as well as other awesome nerdy stitches in her flickr photostream.

This cross stitch of a great Han Solo quote is one of the first Star Wars stitches I ever saw. It was quite a thrill at the time, and it’s still one of my favorites. It was made by Zhad_Squad, who has a glorious mixture of adorable and snarky needlework in her flickr photostream.

Another Han Solo quote? Yeah. He’s my favorite.
Probably because of the scene that this quote comes from. It’s a beautiful thing that Draelin thought to stitch it. Check out Draelin’s flickr photostream for more great stitchy stuff – including more Star Wars and some Firefly thrown in for good measure.

Last but not least, this amazing embroidery was created by the lovely and talented Lilyvanilli on craftster. This is actually a tattoo design that Lily stitched for her partner in a tattoo-themed swap. I know it’s kind of a departure from a true Star Wars theme, but come on – just look at it! Incredible. See more in the original post here.
I hope you enjoyed this super-sized Star Wars post. Enjoy the rest of May the 4th (be with you)!

Nerdalicious! I love every piece of this. Thank you for combing the galaxies and mining out the good stuff for us.
Love it. Love it all! =)
Holy crap!
I’m a little ashamed to admit how much I laughed at that terrible pun.
Me too, Krupp! I’d never heard it before Jamie mentioned it this weekend, but apparently it’s well known among serious Star Wars fans.
wow! i just say WOW!
One needn’t be a Star Wars fan to appreciate these! That’s one of the awesome things about contemporary stitching and the stuff B finds for us to ogle!
Awesome curation Bridget!
i like the picture on set of pillowcases.
Do you have a pattern of it?
