
Time for another look at some of the great work featured in the Needlecraft section at Craftster. Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.
This week’s pick is brought to us by the lovely and talented TheMisstressT, Tara to her friends. Tara wanted to make something special for a friend who is battling cancer. She took this Beatrix Potter toile:

And made this:

Her stitching is simply exquisite, and the message is perfect. Here’s a closer look at those stitches and the inspirational message these whimsical animals are delivering:

All the details in this piece make it especially wonderful. The backstitching on the argyle sweater, the tiny red flowers, the combination thought/speech bubble – all perfectly executed and obviously stitched with love.
Tara mounted the piece herself and covered the back with this muslin, signing it in stitches.

This is magnificent. I know Tara, and she has got skills oozing out of every pore, so it’s great to be able showcase one of her pieces here.
