I'm not sure what it says about me that I find the little dog a lot more disturbing than the goatse.

Really excellent needlework and subtlety/precision of color placement. It looks like a webcam still rather than stitches (and I mean that as a good thing).

Just had to look after those warnings. My first thought was 'I didn't know it could stretch that wide'. My second thought was 'I wonder if we've got any donuts left'. My third thought was this doesn't impress me at all. Crass. Sorry!

Oh goatse.cx, I remember you fondly. No really. I've sent many an unknowing individual there back in the day. Sure, there are mirrors, but the URL was really worth something.

I've really come close to pulling the trigger on buying this. I don't necessarily want to hang it up in my home, but I love it so very, very much.

Wow.
Just wow I don't find this image shocking, more like surprising if you're not expecting to see the insides of a man's rectum. However, the stitchery is enviable. Talented work.
I am loving these NSFW Saturdays!

Indeed, I do think the man who is Goatse is certainly very special.
There's something to be said for stretching before exercise, but that's ridiculous..! *groan*
I found this piece quite challenging when I first saw it, and indeed found the original image quite shocking when it first appeared. In both instances a side effect of Goatse has been to broaden the horizon of the media (stitchery and interwebs) in question.
Cross stitch pushed at a boundary again with this piece. The boundary has moved, and it will allow for other creativity to exist within the new space created. In the same way as other art forms have explored these topics, it's not unreasonable for stitchery to do the same. I suspect we will see some truly amazing stuff over time.
I would add, however, that here at Mr X Stitch we're not going to post any old crap. Shaebay's piece represents an extreme in the field of cross stitch and I thank her for being brave enough to make this piece.

I'm not a prude in any sense of the word, or a censor, but i just don't get this. I can respect the intent and the workmanship, but not the subject. That being said, if we all liked or did the same things, it would be a damn boring world, stitch wise and IRL.
That man won't have a colostomy bag when he's old: he'll have a hose.
