Not entirely germane to this piece, but I can’t help but remember it when I see those catalog pages: the Wendy’s fast food restaurant near my house as a child had tables covered in these sorts of advertisements. Looking at them I can’t help but remember eating many a Kid’s Meal while re-reading the same ads over and over again.
