Something wonderful is coming to the Bear and Bird Boutique and Gallery in Lauderhill, Florida. Stitch Wars, a showcase of handmade items inspired by the Star Wars movies, will be opening July 18th, running through August 29th. It’s hard for me to express how excited I am about this show, so I won’t even try. :) Here’s a couple of examples of what will be exhibited there:

This frozen Luke Skywalker huddling for warmth inside the belly of a Tauntaun was created by Heidi Kenney. Just awesome.

These Jawas are a submission from Cutesypoo Toys. So cool – and the eyes glow in the dark!

Check the Bear and Bird website for more information on the show.

And thanks to ksen. for pointing this out to us! And please, drop us a line if you hear about great stuff like this: beefranck@mrxstitch.com or the big bossman himself mrx@mrxstitch.com. We love to hear from you!

I’ve been seeing so many great things that are going to be at this exhibit I’m really tempted to drive down and see it when it opens.

This is like the only thing that has ever made me want to go to Florida. Alas, I live in the opposite corner of the country.
