If you’re in or around London on Saturday you must must must go to this event, organised by Phil Davison and the Urban Cross Stitch crew. Here’s what they have to say about it.
To celebrate our first birthday, URBAN CROSS STITCH will be stitching it up on SATURDAY AUGUST 1ST with a cornucopia of threads and patterns of every imaginable colour and design.
Accompanied by live music from the awesome Badland Revival, Toy! Toy! and Straight Edge and Get Square, not to mention our very own Captain Rick, our world-famous cupcakes and super fantastic cocktails will be doing the rounds at the Queen of Hoxton.
Dont have a thimble? Then fear not for your fingers as our expert team offer one-to-one lessons in the art of cross-stitching designs from Space Invaders to street-inspired masterpieces.
We’ll also be hosting loads of great games and if the weather’s scorching and you fancy cooling off in one of our roof-top paddling pools then be sure to pack a towel. And a costume.
The fun begins at 2pm so bring your dancing shoes to dance the night away and with FREE ENTERY where else are you going to have this much fun on a Staurday in town?
At the Queen of Hoxton www.thequeenofhoxton.co.uk
Queen of Hoxton, 1 Curtain Road, London
2PM TILL LATER, SATURDAY 1ST AUGUST, FREE ENTRY
Personally I’m a bit gutted that I can’t make it, but it would be good for people let us know what it was like if they go!
