Time for another look at some of the great work featured in the Needlecraft section at Craftster. Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.
Ah, Adam Lambert. Loved by millions, particularly millions of Mums. Without a doubt he was the most talented contestant on the latest series of American Idol, and I have some suspicion about his failure to win this year, but that’s an aside.
Sophieangele realised how much her Mum admired Glambert and stitched her this piece in honour of his awesomeness.

Here’s the information about the piece:
- It’s 11″ by 7″.
- The face is painted with fabric paint.
- It’s worked in split stitch, back stitch, whipped backstitch, chain stitch, detached chain stitch, satin stitch, threaded back stitch, and pekenese stitch, between 1 and 6 ply floss.
It’s fantastic. Here’s a detail shot.

If you want to tell SophieAngele how much you love this piece, or how much your Mum loves it, you can view her Craftster post here.

I just love the blue border with the musical notes mixed in. All the little embellishments in the background make it even more special.
I don’t do stitching and I admire your obvious talent. The image is beautiful – one thing though the red stitch down the cheek looks like a scar. I think if you removed it, it would look better. Just MO.
I have zero idea who this guy is but this piece is fantastic!
