Stitchgasm – Felicity Hall

by Mr X on 28 October 2009

Another Stitchgasm from Mr X StitchThanks to Felicity for telling me about her new needlepoint patterns. I was particularly taken by Three Swallows, which has a vibrant colour scheme and a certain je ne sais quoi that I really like.

Check out her website to see what other patterns she’s got for you to needle.

Hey, gang–Melissa from Maine here. Did you know that your post in my google reader feeder just had a link to donate money to the campaign to veto/overturn the governor’s recent legalization of gay marriage here in my state? Yikes–I don’t know how these commercials work, but that one saddened me.

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for telling us about that. It is very not cool. I’ve done some research but it appears that there’s no way to prevent ads like that appearing on AdSense as Google is more interested in taking the $$$. However it seems that you can report the ad if you think it violates AdWords policies.

If you come across ads on your site that may violate AdWords policies, please report them to the AdWords team using the form located at http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/request.py?display=feedback . Note that you’ll need to report specific information about the ad to help us locate it, so make sure to report it before adding it to your filter.

Also, at the bottom of their Help Center, they have a link to “Report a Policy Violation”. Should you forget where to report ads in the future, you can find the link on that page as well (“Feedback on a Google ad in the content network”).

Suffice to say, here at Mr X Stitch we support the principle of civil partnership in all its forms and frown upon narrow-minded people who feel otherwise. And say things about them behind their backs…

Oh, dear! That saddens me as well! We don’t control the content of those ads, unfortunately. We’ll look into it. Thanks for letting us know!

Well, I didn’t think that ad was reflective of your values, Mr. X, and mainly, I just wanted to be sure. Thank you!
