Festival of Fabulousness Fundraising Frenzy!

The Fifth Friday Festival of Fabulousness

As you probably know, here at Mr X Stitch we’re surly on the outside but soft and sweet on the inside. And so as well as showing you the best new stitching that we can find, we also like to do things to help other people.

So, as part of the Fifth Friday Festival of Fabulousness we are going to have a Fundraising Frenzy for our favourite charities!

Kicking things off is a Halloween inspired pattern offer, with the proceeds going to Action for Children, the UK children’s charity that I work for in my day job. You can find about Action for Children at their website, but they have over 450 projects across the UK and work with children in a wide range of ways – from Children’s Centres to respite homes, to schools for children with additional needs to fostering and adoption services. Action for Children is a terrific charity that really does a lot of good and I’m proud to work for them.

So here’s the deal. We’ve got a choice of two patterns that you can buy for the grand old price of £2 (about $3.30) each, both of which are kinda Halloween related.

First up is someone who has become a Halloween icon in a relatively short space of time, it’s Billy the Saw Doll!

Yikes! All you horror fans are going to want to get your hands on this baby!

But because we are a conscientious bunch of people, we’ve got another pattern for you to buy, which is a little less in your (doll) face – a pattern of the moon.

Full Moon CoverDesigned to be stitched onto black fabric, this shot of our favourite orbiting object is a nice piece of contemporary stitching that we think will look great!

So there you have it, a couple of patterns with all proceeds going to a good cause.

What you have to do is:

1. Visit the Mr X Stitch JustGiving Page.

2. Choose which pattern you want.

3. Make your donation via the page – it’s pretty easy.

4. Make sure that you include your email address where appropriate, and your pattern choice in the message, so that we can send you the right ones.

5. Sit back and wait – the pattern(s) in PDF format will be emailed to you as soon as possible.

It’s as simple as that!

Thanks in advance to anyone who donates.

Oh, man! If I cross stitched, I’d be (all) over the moon with some glow-in-the-dark floss. Someone do it!

I tried to go to the justgiving page, but it keeps coming up with an error… it asks to try back in an hour, but it still isn’t working properly. :( Can I paypal money to you directly and have you deliver it to the charity, since you’re involved with them? I’m glad to do that — and I also want to get my grubby mitts on that moon pattern!!!!!
