The Fifth Friday Festival of Fabulousness

Stuffed is a new magazine showcasing softies and plushies from many of the coolest artists around. In the latest issue they featured favorites like Melissa Sue Stanley, Diane Koss, Junker Jane, Skunkboy Creatures, and Love & A Sandwich among many others. The magazine features lots of big juicy pictures for each artist as well as tips and techniques for aspiring plushie makers from each one. There’s even a couple of patterns in there, too!

Want a copy? Well, you could go to your local bookstore… or, you could enter to win one here! The good people at Stampington & Company have been nice enough to provide us with a copy of the Winter 2009 issue to give away. Just leave a comment – if you need inspiration, why don’t you tell me who your favorite plushie maker is? – and a winner will be selected at random next Friday, November 6th. So get to it – and good luck! :)

My mom used to make the best softies from socks and gloves! She even made rag dolls for me! She’s my favorite!

Ooooo!!! Some day! I’ve only seen this magazine once but chock fulla pages to ogle and admire! So hard to say who my favorite Etsy Plush maker is because there are oodles of incredible makers. Maybe DKoss2 http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5080450 or LouLouandOscar http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5804671 or Girlsavage or Everyeskimo, maybe Astulabee or Plushroomsoup, and then there’s…OMGoodness I could go on and on.

Me, me! I want one. I’ve been eyeing that magazine for a while, but hadn’t broken down and purchased one yet. I’ve been teaching my daughter to hand sew softies lately. She’s really enjoying it.

My favorite plush maker is Erin who makes Sock Zombies! http://www.sockzombie.com – they’re cute & cuddly, but they’ll eat your socks and steal your soul! Bwah ha ha ha ha!! (I even took mine to Disneyland once)

Well … This is no secret …
My favourite is Nicole / Astulabee ♥
Even though, she is more than a plushie-maker but a “soft-sculpture” crafter.

That magazine sounds aceness I’m sure it would LOVE to come and live with me in Paris !!!
