Hi everyone! Today I wanted to look at the wonderful work of Corrine B.

All of her works are beautiful and unusual at the same time, and always technically amazing.

Her unique style often involves mixed media.

Some of her works have unsettling subject matters – this piece definitely has an eerie menace to it.

This is a photo transfer on muslin that she embroidered on. She painted over the stitches that make up the lips to give it the look she wanted.

This piece was inspired by a rude, ignorant dinner guest. Read more about him here.

I love seeing embroideries of children’s drawings, like this piece, based on a drawing and note from her son when he was 8 years old. Read more about that here.

Corrine used tea stained linen for this piece, which adds to the ghostly feel it projects.
I always enjoy seeing something new from Corrine, and I know you will, too. Be sure to check out her flickr photostream and blog to see more of her work.

These are pretty much all fantastic. A diverse selection of pieces, but of such a high quality. Love it.
