Kate Talbot is an artist and an illustrator who enjoys creating “ironic iconic” imagery.

She is inspired by all sorts of subjects. She has created some new takes on some very recognizable pieces of fine art, like these:

Arrgh by Kate Talbot

This last piece, based off of the famous painting “The Scream” is simply titled “Arrgh”. :)

She also creates homages to things that are part of every day life.

marmite by Kate Talbot

Like Marmite, whether you love it or hate it.

Fibre 3D by Kate Talbot

And this can of beans complete with a spoon, a drizzle down the side and a lone bean stuck to the lid of the can.

trixie by Kate Talbot

She’s done some stitched portraits of some interesting characters as well. This woman, Trixie, shows up a few times in her work.

dearly beloved by Kate Talbot

I love this portrait of a couple getting married.

Adonis

And this unlikely Adonis. :)

Be sure to go to Kate’s website, as this is just a glimpse at some of the amazing things she has done – so many wonderful things await you!
