Just Cool – Erika Iris Simmons

by Beefranck on 10 March 2010

Erika Iris Simmons is an artist who works with non-traditional media.

As someone who grew up with cassette and video tapes, it was somewhat bittersweet to read this statement on her website: I love the nostalgia of the archaic and I hope that not everything which has outlived its use goes to waste.

It is definitely wonderful to see things that would otherwise be discarded put to such good use. See more of Erika’s amazing work in this flickr set or her website.

They are all amazing, but I’m insanely in love with the Robert Smith one. Sigh…

I have never wished that an idea was mine so hard in my entire life. These are so amazing.

And I’m with VegKat! I didn’t think it was possible to make a picture of Robert Smith more attractive than it already was.
