Stitching in public places is something that is near and dear to our hearts here at Mr X Stitch. Mr X himself started stitching because he needed something to keep him occupied on a long plane trip, and he often stitches on the train when commuting back and forth to London, as you can see here.
And while I’m not a huge fan of having my picture taken, even I got in on the action recently at a local coffee shop.
So of course we just HAVE to spread the word about Stitch in Public Day, which is happening this Friday, September 3rd! *Cheers! Fanfare!*
We’re both going to stitch in public that day, and we’d love it if you would, too. We even created a new Flickr group just for pictures of stitching in public. There’s already some pretty awesome shots in there already – stitching on the train, on the beach, on a cruise ship, at a concert – but we’d love to have more! Join us!

I quite often stitch in public places – I get bored while sitting down to rest my knees! I just don’t always remember to take my camera with me and get hubby to take a photo… Will make more of an effort tomorrow!
