Craftster Pick of the Week – OmegaChicken’s QR Code Sampler

by TheMistressT on 6 April 2011

Time for another look at some of the great work featured in the forums at Craftster.  Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.

You got your QR code in my traditional sampler!  No, you got your traditional sampler in my QR code!  Wait… it’s two great looks that look great together!

OmegaChicken stitched this up using an online QR code generator and a vintage border pattern – what a great way to make a very up-to-the-minute twist on traditional cross stitch.   I understand that the message is “clean” and that you can use this to translate it, but I haven’t done it myself so I can’t verify.  I do know that the inner border says, “This work in hand my friends may have when I am dead and in my grave” which is found an many antique samplers.

You can see the original Craftster post here, and be sure to come back next week for another great pick from the forums!

Yes, the QR link is safe for work! Just a simple message, rather than a link to a website or similar.I love the border on this, in fact I've half a mind to borrow it for something, though I've not quite graduated from kits to freehand.
