Newsflash! Mr X Stitch is out and about in March!

by Mr X on 23 February 2012

It's a newsflash!

This March Mr X Stitch (that’s me!) will be having a stand at not one, but two, stitchery shows in the UK!

Stitch & Craft Show 2012 at Olympia, London.

First off, I’ll be at the Stitch & Craft show in Olympia from the 15th to the 18th.

Much like last year I will be showcasing cool cross stitched talent (hand-picked by me this time) and there will be space for you to come and sit and stitch a while if the mood takes you. As is the Mr X Stitch way, we’ll have some music in the background and chocolate biscuits – what more could you ask for?

I will also be doing my Cross Stitch 101 workshops at the show – to buy tickets for the show and the workshops, visit the Stitch & Craft show website.

I’m excited this year as my neighbour at the show will be the amazing Jane Greenoff and I’m looking forward to meeting her. It’ll be a cross stitched dream come true! :)

Do you want to help? I’m looking for volunteers who can come along to the show and help me out. Last year this involved encouraging people to come and learn to cross stitch, and I think everyone had a lovely time. You’ll get free entry into the show and a chance to have a roam around while you’re there. If you are interested, please email me with your availability over the four day period and we’ll go from there.

Sewing for Pleasure at the Birmingham NEC

But wait, there’s more! The following week I’ll be doing the same thing at Sewing for Pleasure at the Birmingham NEC!

There will be the same cool cross stitches as well as a few more pieces from my own personal collection to get your juices flowing. At the stand I’ll have tables set up so that people can drop by and get their stitch on! I’m slap bang in the middle of the show, so you should be able to find me quite easily.

Do you want to help? Guess what? I’m looking for volunteers to come and help me teach people to cross stitch at the stand over the four days.

As with the London show, you’ll get free entry and a chance to have a roam around. But you’ll also get the chance to hang out and share the love of cross stitch with new people. It is a really rewarding experience. As above, if you are interested, please email me with your availability over the four day period and we’ll go from there!

I’ve got more appearances lined up at events this year, and will do my best to report on the adventures as they happen! It’s going to be awesome! :)
