Hi everyone! Anatomy is a popular theme for embroidery, especially the heart. This week I wanted to take a look at some of my favorite hearts in stitches – anatomically correct, or not.
This gorgeous example was made by The Ephemeral Mailbox Museum. I love the effect of the lighter color on the arteries that are farther away from the heart. You can see more from her in her etsy store.
Some of us wear our hearts on our sleeves. Emma wears hers on her shirt.
I love how unexpected this patent leather heart by I Heart Guts is – he looks a little emo, don’t you think?
This heart from Cocoon Designs may be a simple shape, but don’t let that fool you – patching together all that recycled material in such a beautiful way must have been a lot of work! See more recycled goodies at her etsy store.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Now I want to know – which heart do you heart the most?
