Beefranck’s Emporium – Made By Moxie

Beefrancks Emporium Features The Best Pop Culture Needlecraft On The Planet!

It’s that time again! Ready for some awesome? That’s what I thought. :)

This week I want to show you some fabulous felties from the marvelous Made by Moxie.

Sinister

I like to think of this creation as a quite civilized monster. I imagine he might work as a car salesman, or perhaps a news anchor.

Wire Tapped

This piece, called Wiretap, was made as a gift for the host of the radio show of the same name, Jonathan Goldstein. I hadn’t heard of the show before I read about the making of this peice at Moxie’s blog, but now I am definitely going to check it out.

Puppets Need Puppets Too

This is called Puppets Need Puppets Too. It made me squeal with joy the first time I saw it. I’m wondering, though – what about the puppet’s puppet? It looks lonely without a puppet, don’t you think? :)

Pills

Moxie also makes some facsimilies of everyday items that are pretty impressive, like these pills.

Twinkie

And this Twinkie looks good enough to eat!

Let’s face it. You want to see more. I know you do! Here’s how to go about it: flickr photostream, website, blog, and etsy store. Visit one or all of them. You’ll be glad you did!

I had planned on giving this to @johnroderick at the show last night, but I didn't have a chance to frame it. Sadsies. http://t.co/4TBQrmAB - 2 years ago

I think I MUCH prefer the felt twinkie :) I just tried a real one for the first time in 30 years of living in the usa, YIKES! eek!!!! I will stick to my marmite sarnie’s lol!

I love the puppet with the puppet.
It reminds me of a show, which might have been Dharma and Greg but might not, where a couple had two dogs, but the second dog was actually the first dog’s dog.

    That’s awesome. :)

The puppet with a puppet is my favorite, too. It immediately made me think of the possibility of infinite puppets. The puppet’s puppet would need a puppet, which would need a puppet, which would need a puppet, which would need a puppet…

Moxie is the best. Did you know the puppet with a puppet sculpture is as big as your hand? The pink monster is like a solid felt mitten. A-Ma-Zing! (as is all of her artwork) Yay Moxie!

  • Crystal (fiberartsy) says:

I love the monster in a suit!
