Craftster Challenge – For a Good Cause

Kittykill, friend of Mr X Stitch and moderator of the Needlework section at Craftster, just announced the new fall challenge: The Good Cause Challenge!

Crafters are encouraged to create pieces inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness. And because you shouldn’t have to pick between two great causes, you can have two entries in this competition: one for each cause. The projects can be posted the week of Oct 12th-Oct 18th, and the voting will take place the following week, Oct 19th-25th. For more information, (and the rules!) check out Kittykill’s original post.

While you’re at it, you could check out this piece by TheMistressT and this piece by lisalady161, the inspirations for this challenge.

We hope you get involved in this challenge! See you at Craftster!

  • I’m really hoping I have a decent idea and can participate in this. I currently know quite a few people dealing with cancer either themselves or with a close loved one and I know several people who’ve dealt with domestic violence, so these are close to me. I think that’s part of the challenge in coming up with an idea.
