Craftster Pick of the Week – humboldtcherry’s Door Hanging

It's the Craftster Pick of the Week - brought to you by Mr X Stitch!

Time for another look at some of the great work featured in the forums at Craftster. Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.

Inspired by the wonders of India found in books at her local library, Humboltcherry decided to take on the task of embroidering a door hanging like one she’d seen in a borrowed book.  Lots and lots of stitches later, this is what she’s created!

She also used a library book to learn how to sew little round mirrors (shisha) to her piece.

You can see several more detail photos and learn more about her adventure in creating this piece from her original craftster post.

Man, I just love libraries.
