Craftster Pick of the Week – Beefranck’s Slap Shot Squirrels

It's the Craftster Pick of the Week - brought to you by Mr X Stitch!

Time for another look at some of the great work featured in the forums at Craftster. Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.

One of the many cool things about occasionally helping out around Mr. X Stitch is getting to show off the stellar work of the other people behind the scenes here at MXS HQ.

Beefranck is a genius at combining old-fashioned cross stitch borders, fonts and motifs with contemporary themes such as pop culture references and expletives.  Gen-i-us.  Plus she’s a dang good stitcher.

Not exactly sure what this is all about?  Beefranck was inspired by her hatred of this commercial.

Tara Fields a.k.a. "TheMistressT" is a scumbler and plastrix by day and a craft dabbler by night. Her mottoes include “any excuse for a costume” and “there’s no such thing as too much carpincho.”

    Thanks, Tara. 🙂

  • I have to agree with so many things here: Beefrank is definitely a talented lady; that commercial is definitely annoying; and this is a really cool piece of stitching. Thank you! I have blogged about this too:

  • I love Beefranck’s projects. She is genius and has great taste in what she quotes from. You have inspired a few project patterns and I can’t wait to share them once they are done…and then my son will not be allowed to have friends over.
