Time for another look at some of the great work featured in the forums at Craftster. Note: Although they’re the pick of this week, they may have appeared before this week.
Knit-R-Done has done it again, and knocked our socks off with her latest posts to craftster. She’s decided to embroider the pills that have played an important part in her life. She started with Prozac.
It almost looks like a painting!
Here’s a closer look at the stitching where you can see the colors she used for the shading.
She also embroidered Effexor, another antidepressant that she has an interesting history with.
This deserves a closer look as well.
Her latest post is this embroidery of a prescription bottle that bears the warning of potential drowsiness.
There’s a lot more to these pieces than is included in her original craftster posts. If you want to read more about it, visit her blog, or the new blog she has started to encourage people to use art as therapy, Self-Imposed Art Therapy. We think this new blog is a great idea, so Mr X and I will be keeping an eye on it. You should, too!
