Too Cute Tuesday – Emma’s Pet by Jessica Pambianco

Emma’s Pet is the loveliest embroidery of a children’s book illustration that I’ve seen in a long time.

I watched these little cuties develop on Instagram, as Jessica Pambianco posted her photos of her works in progress. It was like time lapse photography. Each frame she posted contained more details, from her expert stitching of the fur to the depth she created with the watercolor shading in the background.

Jessica (a.k.a. Lady Jane Longstitches) made the two pieces as a last minute gift for her daughter’s baby shower, based on her favorite childhood book, “Emma’s Pet” by David McPhail.

What a beautiful gift, made with so much love.
