Too Cute Tuesday – Paper Embroidery Handbags by Judith Pudden

Canadian artist Judith Pudden is in the middle of a riot of creativity with her stunning, deceptively simple paper embroideries.

Pudden hand stitches chiyogami (Japanese paper) onto cotton paper to create these lovely images, which are available in her etsy shop.

She is playing with other images in this format, including corsets, shoes and teacups.

Spend some time on Pudden’s website to see her archivist-informed artwork, inspired by old anatomy textbooks and natural history compendia. Her precise, clean designs are visually refreshing.
