Felter Skelter: Nocik

Felter Skelter - your essential needle felting column from Mr X Stitch!
This month I would like to introduce you to an needle felt artist I have followed for some time: Haley Nocik aka nocik!

Haley learned the basics of needle felting in 2013, and has since come to utilize it as her prime mode of artistic expression and animal rendition. The majority of her work is what one might call faux taxidermy: a realistic, vegetarian, interpretation of the art of mounted animal statuary. Haley also enjoys working with whole animal forms, cryptids, and more fantastic realizations.

I have showcased bits and pieces of her work before (here, here), but her recent creations warrant a closer look. Check out some of my favorites below!

If you would like to submit your portfolio (or an artist you admire) for consideration for this column, please complete this form. Itโ€™s quick and easy!
