Karen’s call focused on how to become the embroiderer that top designers and brands love to work with.
If you’d like to see your embroidery grace the catwalk or you’d like to collaborate with the likes of Chanel, Matthew Williamson or Marc Jacobs, Karen is the person to learn from. Listen to the webinar again and discover how she forged her successful embroidery career. She shares advice on creating samples, pricing your work and being brave:
Our favourite tips included:
1. If you’re embroidering for fashion, put together a portfolio of samples rather than showing fashion designers your garments.
2. Go to student fashion shows to make connections with designers that are just starting out. Offer to work for them.
3.You’re not going to get anywhere unless you dare to do it. Expect rejection, but always jump back up.
