Gramarye – Making Everything

One of the good things about scouring the Threadiverse in the way we do is that you come across someone who is clearly has talent oozing out of every pore. So I’m pleased to introduce Erica, also known as Gramarye.

Gramarye - Rites of Passage

Gramarye can turn her hand to any craft and produces amazing textile pieces, including this work in progress (below) for a textile exhibition to be held in 2010 themed Voyages of the Imagination.  Erica decided to work on a journal for the voyage  but has yet to decide if it will be “The Expeditionary Journal of Queen Silvercold” or “A Field Guide to the Flora and Fauna of Elencia”. I love it. 🙂

To miniature hexagons for intensely detailed patchwork, Gramarye does it all so well.

She is currently working on a project involving embroidering her notes from the ceramics certificate, creating really interesting pieces like the one below, illustrating how a kiln works.

It’s been terrific discovering Gramarye’s work – every time you think you’ve seen all of it, you click a link and she’s conquered another craft. She’s brilliant. You can see her work on her Flickr photostream, her blog and on her YouTube channel. Go and be amazed.
