As you will know by now, I’m involved in the #imapiece campaign, raising awareness of hunger and malnutrition with the Craftivist Collective and Save the Children. To find out more about the campaign, check out Hilary’s excellent post over at Craft Blog UK.
We want you to get involved by stitching jigsaw pieces:
- One for you with an inspiration affirmation on it.
- One for a collaborative art project, stitched with a message to remind us we can all improve the world and help fulfill its potential to be a more beautiful place for all, that the Craftivist Collective will exhibit at assorted venues to coincide with the G8 summit.
- One for your MP (or local decision maker) with the words “I’m a piece”, to ask them to be the positive change they wish to see in the world.
We’ve got a deadline for getting jigsaw pieces to the Craftivist Collective of 28th February and I’m really keen for as many of you as possible to participate. So here’s a bit of inspiration in the form of half a dozen pieces that have been submitted and included in the #imapiece Flickr set. I hope they encourage you to put needle to fabric and make sure that you’re a piece!
