As always the MrX mansion is a busy place, however with the release of both Mr X Stitch’s Guide to Cross Stitch and the new Xstitch Magazine out, its been busier than ever. It appears the cross stitch community has also been at it, with more awesome that ever!
I know video games are by kinda thing, however this month saw one of the best cross stitches I’ve seen in a long while, and its not a video game. Its a board game (branching out is slow, alright?) This Settlers Of Catan board in miniture by Grated Expectations is insanely good. You can even pick up individual tile patterns on her Etsy store too!
But returning to video games and my obsession with Pokemon, we have a colorised and framed pallet town cross stitch by freudian stitch.
Born to British Aristocracy, the man now known as Lord Libidan discovered the art of cross stitch while in a Buddhist monastery high in the Himalayan mountains. After meditating on the craft for years, he emerged from his retreat ready to challenge the prevailing paradigm and elevate embroidery to new levels. Focusing his talents on video game and pop culture cross stitches, he produces work that pushes as the boundaries of the form.
