It’s May and two of my most favourite humans in the world have their birthdays this month, Billy (my son), yesterday and my younger brother Jamie a week later.
This got me thinking about men that make plush, there are less of them than women but I have to say that men that do make plush seem to be very good at it.
Here are some of my favourites:
I’ve featured them before just because I think they are all round awesome, “A Monster to Love”. Twins Ben and Sam and their dad Ray donate one plush to a child in need for every one bought. I love their zombie candy corns.
Benjamin of ‘The Big Forest” makes wonderful use of bold colours, I love his attention to detail. There are frequent updates in his Etsy store with lots of choice so there really is something for everyone.
“Yetis and Friends” make fantastic faux taxidermy of cryptid beasts. They tend to fly out of Cody’s Etsy store but you can hear about shop updates on his Instagram. I can’t help but think that one of these mounts would make an excellent father’s day gift.
Becky Gould is the big kid behind Scrumptious Delight. Working from her home in Vancouver, BC she makes plush toys and soft sculptures that combine a love of food, all things furry and an unnatural appreciation of small appliances.
