If you like cross stitch and want a book that’ll help elevate your enthusiasm and understanding of this amazing craft, then you are in luck, because the Mr X Stitch Guide to Cross Stitch is coming!
With over 20 original designs, the book, which comes out in August and is published by SearchPress, will teach you how to cross stitch, but more importantly, will make you see why you should cross stitch. There are several sections in the book, but one of my favourite is the More Than A Hobby section, which looks at concepts like Craftivism, Mindfulness and explores why cross stitch is an art form.
That’s right, my groovy Mona Lisa design is one of the ones you can stitch, and while you’re stitching you can enjoy my rant about the world of art and the fact that it’s most a confidence trick..! At the end of each section I interview an Outlier, someone who is pushing at the boundaries of cross stitch and in this section my Outlier is the mighty Severija Incirauskaite-Kriauneviciene!
So yeah, not your average cross stitch book huh?! Over time I’ll share more information about the book, to really get you excited, but trust me, I’ve put my heart and soul into this book, and I’m confident you’ll find something in there to make you smile.
