Multiple Stitchgasm Monday – PQ 1970s Swap, Part 1

It's Multiple Stitchgasm Monday!

Know what this this Friday is? It’s another Fifth Friday Festival of Fabulousness!

Among many other wondrous features offered by Mr X Stitch (like book reviews, give-aways, etc.) we will launch a new Phat Quarter art swap. Woot!

The theme? It’s super secret, not to be revealed until this Friday, when signups open in the Phat Quarter group on flickr. The only hint I’ll share is that the theme is very playful and selected to encourage youthful creativity. Intrigued??

Before we move on, spend some time with the DY-NO-MITE pieces created by Phat Quarter stitchers extraodrinaire for the 1970s Phat Quarter Swap. Using that fertile decade as a starting point, the pieces included meditations on science, music, cultural history, fashion and craft of the 1970s.

Take a deep breath and enjoy this Stitchgasm…
