Hi everybody! It’s Saturday, and you know what that means — so if you’re ready, sneak past Master Chameleon and get to it!
WARNING!
NSFW SATURDAYS WILL CONTAIN CONTENT THAT IS NOT SAFE FOR WORK!
IF YOU READ THESE POSTS, AND ARE OFFENDED, WE’RE SORRY BUT WE DID WARN YOU!
Pita Garcia is an embroidery artist from Mexico.
She got in touch with me a few months ago to share her hand embroideries, and it’s safe to say I was impressed. Here’s what she has to say about her work:
“The work I have been developing has got to do with the feminine body, sexuality, erotism and beauty, which I express through body postures. The purpose is to represent diverse forms of corporal expressions, showing organs and other fragments of the body. My current project is called “Compressed bodies”, in which I develop embroidered drawings in which are shown perceptions from within the body, using strings as a médium for stablishing diverse abstract textures that allow to suggest erotism.”
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing a few of her pieces, such as this rather tasty tablecloth.
