I know I’m taking even more liberties than usual with the “too cute” description of this post, but too bad. I can’t help myself.
As I see photos of her work appearing in my flickr stream, I have been increasingly intrigued by the art of Anne Mende, a.k.a. Pumora.
I know very little about the German artist beyond the images of her stitching. Take this piece that she calls a “cross stitch stash buster project.” The plain name does nothing to capture the elegant simplicity of the piece, which she made to use up old ends of embroidery floss.
Spend some time in her flickr stream and blog and you will be rewarded with wonderfully original designs, colors and textures. She has tutorials and links in which she explores “textile manipulation” I’m anxious to see more of her work.
Too Cute Tuesdays are brought to you in association with our friends over at Feeling Stitchy!
