Pinning The Past – Ruth Singer

Pinning The Past with Ruth Singer

Welcome to Pinning The Past, where we explore textile techniques and traditions and connect with the rich history of embroidery.

When change takes place, we sometimes have to lose things, and we’re sorry to say this is the last Pinning The Past column for now. We’ve been honoured to have the fantastic Ruth Singer write for Mr X Stitch for a couple of years and the learning and information she’s shared has been wonderful. We’re eternally grateful to Ruth for her efforts and would encourage you to keep an eye on her, as she’s becoming a pretty big deal these days. 🙂

We’ve chosen some of our favourite Pinning The Past posts below, but you’re advised to get a cuppa and enjoy reading the PTP archive, and then you can email Ruth and thank her for amazing curation.

Ruth has also produced some fantastic books and we’ve info on those at the bottom of this post.
