Sprite Stitch Best Bits – December ’12

Sprite Stitch Best Bits

The first spotlight of the year, and although this is for December, I’ve tried to keep all those Christmas stitches away. And to that end, last months challenge winner was funkymonkey with his Neo Cortex piece for the Video Game villains challenge.

This next piece is also from funkymonkey (prolific stitcher) with one of his Hunger Games pieces. His great use of frame really brings this stitch alive.

Montage! I have a feeling you might see a lot more of these around this year. However ngarner2 was the first (and clearly greatest)!

Well I had to put one Christmasy in. EveningEmma, one of our new bloggers crafted this koffing bauble.

Lastly is a beautiful wedding piece based on World Of Warcraft by Aithnemae.

See you next month!
Oh, and if you like giveaways, keep your head around the blog for the next few weeks.

Lord Libidan

Born to British Aristocracy, the man now known as Lord Libidan discovered the art of cross stitch while in a Buddhist monastery high in the Himalayan mountains. After meditating on the craft for years, he emerged from his retreat ready to challenge the prevailing paradigm and elevate embroidery to new levels. Focusing his talents on video game and pop culture cross stitches, he produces work that pushes as the boundaries of the form.
