January has always been the month for WIPs over at Sprite Stitch, however its also my favourite time of year. After Christmas we start getting loads of massive projects, and this year doesn’t disappoint.
First off is Cross Stitch Ninja with a walking dead pattern in black and white. He’s only half way, but its super awesome already.
And next we have samarin, who I think might be a little crazy. Not content with the largest stitch I’ve ever seen, samarin intends to stitch all of the 470 pokemon in one massive piece. He’s only 15 pages of 270, but its already shaping up.
A few months ago our founder Johloh started making a video game alphabet which started a whole load of challenges on the site, but mfay has stitched an awesome piece for her friends new arrival. (She also picked the best games ever!)
Whilst not strictly cross stitch, this Vader crochet by CraftySasha was way too good to leave out.
And finally, with love in the air next month, I leave you with psi169‘s wedding stitch for her friends.
See you next month!
Oh, and if you like giveaways, keep your head around the blog for the next few weeks.
Lord Libidan is a rising star in the cross stitch world, most recently focusing on video games. He now blogs for Sprite Stitch, the most popular video game craft blog. He hand picks the best of the month from the ever active community at the Sprite Stitch Forums.
Born to British Aristocracy, the man now known as Lord Libidan discovered the art of cross stitch while in a Buddhist monastery high in the Himalayan mountains. After meditating on the craft for years, he emerged from his retreat ready to challenge the prevailing paradigm and elevate embroidery to new levels. Focusing his talents on video game and pop culture cross stitches, he produces work that pushes as the boundaries of the form.
