March has been a packed month for us on the forums, and for the first time we decided to show off some non-video game stitches!
This Walking Dead piece by natepopinski really got me back into the series, and a very clever use of a simplified colour pallet.
No Sprite Stitch Best Bits would be complete without our monthly challenge winner. Gamerwolff’s Assassin’s creed piece may not be the best example of minimalism, however it was so good no one could resit voting for it.
Pokemon! Again! Shazbang’s take on the anime break game also received a lot of votes but was just pipped to the post.
And the last piece is also from Shazbang (she’s a busy stitcher) with this ace Rayman square for this years charity quilt.
See you next month!
Lord Libidan is a rising star in the cross stitch world, most recently focusing on video games. He now blogs for Sprite Stitch, the most popular video game craft blog. He hand picks the best of the month from the ever active community at the Sprite Stitch Forums.
Born to British Aristocracy, the man now known as Lord Libidan discovered the art of cross stitch while in a Buddhist monastery high in the Himalayan mountains. After meditating on the craft for years, he emerged from his retreat ready to challenge the prevailing paradigm and elevate embroidery to new levels. Focusing his talents on video game and pop culture cross stitches, he produces work that pushes as the boundaries of the form.
