During my career I have been lucky enough to live and work in many different countries and those memories and influences stay with me.

Butterflies and moths seemed like a great way to represent this as many species are migratory.

Additionally, the original line drawing on which the embroidery is based was done by my friend Mahala who came to the UK from the Philippines.
