My journey began in Nottingham, the city of lace, where my ancestors had worked in the industry.
From there I travelled to the east coast and grew up close to the sands and cold winds of the North Sea.
Interspersions followed near and far.
Half my lifetime has been spent close to the Grand Union Canal and the beechwoods and bluebells of the Chilterns, in a one-time village now part of an ever-growing urban town.
The journey is not yet finished.
Where to from here?
