I have created my embroidery for the British Textile Biennial exhibition to represent the area I live in now.
10 years ago I moved from a flat overlooking the River Thames in London, to a small village called Thames Ditton in Surrey, a beautiful place with a strong sense of community and with the River Thames running along side the village.
The river has become my constant, a source of tranquillity, a place I can go to gather my thoughts on my own, picnic with family and friends, even swim in when the weather is warm.
It has become so much more than a river and represents a unique bond between my last home and this one.
