He’d also have loved seeing the following lines (from “Song of Myself”) embroidered by a fan: “I find I incorporate gneiss, coal, long-threaded moss, fruits, grains, esculent roots, And am stuccoed with quadrupeds and birds all over….” What would it look like to be “stuccoed with quadrupeds…all over”?
