Stitchgasm – Memorial Rabbit by Britt Hutchinson

Mark Bieraugel recently turned me on to the wonderful embroidered artwork of Chicago-based Britt Hutchinson.

Hand embroidery by Britt Hutchinson, 2014. (Approximately 4 x 4 inches.)

Her work features a muted color palette and tiny, exquisitely detailed stitching, as seen here in this memorial rabbit she made for Robin of Bittersweets, NY. The French knots, chain stitch and flawless roses are all breathtaking.

See more of Britt’s gorgeous, often coin-sized artwork on her website (Tinycup Needleworks) and her Instagram feed.
